Teak wood

Teak wood, known as Tectona grandis, is one of the most valuable and sought-after hardwoods, and it is commonly found in the state of Kerala. Teak wood is highly regarded for its exceptional strength and resilience. It is resistant to termites, decay, and weathering, making it ideal for outdoor furniture, boat building, flooring, and construction materials. The heartwood of teak is a beautiful golden-brown color, which darkens with age to a rich patina. This natural color and smooth texture make it a popular choice for fine woodwork and craftsmanship. The grain of teak is usually straight, but it can also be interlocked, with a fine and uniform texture. This makes the wood easy to work with, and it polishes to a smooth finish, which enhances its aesthetic appeal. Teak’s natural oils make it highly resistant to moisture, which is why it has long been used for shipbuilding, outdoor furniture, and garden structures. This feature is especially beneficial in the humid and monsoon-affected environment of Kerala. Teak wood is used for making furniture, ship building, as building materials, and for artisan crafts. We are supplying high quality Teak logs with an age in the range of 40 to 100 years at a very reasonable price. The perimeter of the logs ranging between 70 cm to 300 cm.
